Day after day repeats itself: morning, day, night, and so it goes on, every day. They wait—by the tree, in the clearing, in the theatre, in the world, in our imperfect world. The characters immerse themselves and the audience in the world of Beckett's absurdity. Or is it our absurdity? This play is about actors. And their play or distraction with certain things has led to a result—a new wait for a new Godot.
"This play is the Bible of the Theatre of the Absurd. A great challenge, which some manage to turn into a three-hour 'bore,' while others don’t understand what and why they are playing at all. People stage 'Godot' about anything—eccentrics, fools, philosophers. The Kurbas Theatre wisely prepared the ground by staging and playing about... themselves. About actors. About talkative, restless, and fidgety performers who juggle meaningless words and unnecessary objects."
